My birthday celebration was simple.  My grandpa never allows mom to spend money for unnecessary purposes.  So mom invited only 2 families.  I was very happy as my close friend had come.

Dasera 2017

Dasera or Navaratri is a hindu festival celebrated all over India.  Navaratri means nine nights.  It is a 10 day celebration event, the last day being called Vijayadashami day.  During this period dolls are arranged and kept in an attractive way.  Happy Dusera to all.  Thanks to my grandpa who has taken so much pain in arranging dolls to enable us to celebrate Navaratri.

India Mela

Today we went to Ganesha Hindu Temple situated in South Jordan, Salt Lake City to attend India Mela fest.  We all had fun there watching so many cultural activities. Of late I started loving to dance and have been telling Amma to teach me.

I am so happy today as grandpa arrived here to spend some months with us.  I went to Airport with Appa and Amma to receive him and he has brought so many presents to me and to my brother, Vidushmath.

Ganesh Festival

Today is Ganesh Festival day. My grandpa (mom's father) & Ajji (grandma- mom's mother) performed pooja in Mysore.  We also did perform pooja here in Salt Lake City.

Grandma
My only Grand Mother calls me with affection as Gouri (pet name).  In fact today is goddess Gouri Festival.  Every Hindu performs pooja in India.  Here is the video showing Aarathi to goddess Gouri by Grandmain Mysore.  She is a great singer too.
