navaritri festival 2019

Navaratri festival 
I am enjoying the days during Navaratri festival by making visits to homes of grandma's friends & neighbors.  Navaratri (meaning 9 nights) or Dasera is a hindu festival celebrated all over in India.  Navaratri is a 10 day celebration event, the last day being called Vijayadashami day.  During this period dolls are arranged and kept in an attractive way.  Happy Dusera to all.

My school

Today is the first day of my kindergarten (UKG).  This is my third school.  It is good, clean, neat and teachers are very nice. It is at arm's length from Grandpa and Ajji's (grandma) home, yet, mom takes us by auto-rickshaw to school from home and brings us back to home in auto-rickshaw from school.  

I said 'us', meaning, my little brother Vidushmath too is going with me.  He attends pre-nursery class.  

We have holidays on every Saturday and Sunday.  We both are having fun at school.

Today I rolled wheat four-mix and Ajji (grandma) put it on the pan.  Chapathis are really good and everyone at home enjoyed eating them.  Grandpa made this video at one take.

deepavali 2018 vidushmath's talent

Deepavali
A programme on the occasion of Deepavali is arranged by Kannada Association of Salt Lake City and is scheduled on December 1, 2018.  My mom has decided that I should join like other little kids and participate in the program.  I have been practicing the dance and my little brother is very curious to see my dance practices and to my surprise he has fully picked up the steps of the whole dance.  How can I keep quiet without sharing his talent here?  Have fun.

My first dance practice for my first dance program

Mom is interested in my participation in Dance program at Utah Kannada Koota.  I am also excited and today is the first day of practice.  I wished to dance with Amma (mom) whenever I used to see her practicing for an event and I always was dancing beside/behind her.  But I never knew dancing is that not an easy art when it comes to actuality in one's life.  I realized dance needs a lot of dedication and practice and intuition.  My grandpa feels I should concentrate more on singing.
